Bebe Comes to Town

Bebe came in town to visit with us, and Laurel sat and played with her for a long time.
Laurel loves her babydoll. Really, she just loves how her doll's head tastes!

We are really lucky that Trey's mom is so flexible and willing to drive down to see us so often. She came to spend a weekend with us and to visit Laurel. She had a big time with her Bebe, and always loves playing with her. Thanks, Betsy, for being such a great grandmother to Laurel!

Visiting Pappy and Gran

"Hello? Laurel, it's for you!"

Each week, Laurel and I visit Pappy, Gran and Aunt Emma in the country. We get to spend the whole day playing with Pappy. Laurel loves to listen to him, and can't get enough of his beard. While she naps, Dad and I usually get in a good visit, which has been really special for me. Just before we head back, Gran and Aunt Emma come home from school/basketball practice. It's always fun to see them, even if our visits are short. It's hard to catch those two--they stay so busy! We are looking forward to our next visit, Pappy, Gran and Aunt Em! See y'all next week!

Going on a Walk

Laurel is just big enough to fit in my jogging stroller. It's finally warm enough to take her outside for walks, although it was a little cold today. She loves facing out, babbles at the trees and houses we pass, and kicks her feet the entire walk. We had a fun afternoon walk.

Playing With Daddy

Laurel loves to play with her daddy. He always makes her laugh. She lights up when she hears us repeat "da-da-da-da" and I like to think that she knows who we're talking about! There's just something so special about a little girl and her daddy!

Sweet Girl

This little girl is the happiest thing! She was all smiles after church this morning, and giggling up a storm. She makes her parents so happy. What a sweet girl!

Southdowns Mardi Gras Parade

Little John loves Baby Laurel, and always wants to find her little toes. She was quite bundled up for the Mardi Gras parade, and he couldn't find her toes!

Every year, we go with the Gahagans to the Southdown's Mardi Gras parade, which rolls through their neighborhood. This year it was freezing! We bundled up Laurel and LJ, loaded them into their strollers and hurried to catch the parade. LJ was a little scared of the loud music and floats, and wanted to watch everything from a safe distance. Amazingly, Laurel slept through the whole thing. She might be more aware next year! We had a great time with our good friends.
